August 14, 2008

While performing with L.A. GUNS at the Goodfellas nightclub in Pottsville, Pennsylvania this past Saturday night (August 9),singer Marty Casey collided onstage with the head of Tracii Guns' guitar. Marty received a gash to the head and was taken for medical attention. After an hour-and-a-half trip to the ER (Emergency Room),Marty received five staples to the close the gash. Tracii accompanied Marty to the ER and sat waiting with him throughout the ordeal. There were also fans waiting at the hospital. Marty expressed his appreciation to Tracii and the fans for their concern. Marty sent his assurances that "the show will go on" and no dates will be missed.

Photographer Tony Fiore was on hand at the Pottsville show and caught the shot. (Warning: not for young, impressionable eyes or for anyone who is squeamish at the site of blood.)

L.A. GUNS is currently on the road with FASTER PUSSYCAT.

Marty Casey is the former contestant on the hit CBS-TV "reality" show "Rock Star: INXS".

The band's new album featuring Marty Casey will be released later in the year via Alexus Records.

Tracii Guns' L.A. GUNS is not to be confused with the Phil Lewis-fronted group, which is also continuing to record and perform under the L.A. GUNS moniker.

Hard Rock Hideout has posted video footage of L.A. GUNS' (the Tracii Guns version) July 20, 2008 concert at Expo Five in Louisville, Kentucky. Watch the clip below.
